If you registered for a space in the race provided by one of our Official Charities (with either a complimentary or discounted entry) this space belongs to the charity rather than the individual runner and will likely have a fundraising pledge attached.
Your space has been transferred automatically to the rescheduled event on 18 April 2021 and your fundraising pledge and fundraiser benefits will not be affected.
If you cannot make the new date, would like to transfer your space to another runner, or opt to participate virtually instead you will need to contact your charity directly to discuss your options as different charities have different transferral policies in place.
Some will allow you to drop out of the physical event and choose to participate virtually instead. Two virtual Newport races (in October 2020 or April 2021) will take place where runners can earn a finishers medal and t-shirt if they are able to provide evidence they have covered the race distance (using an app like Strava, a GPS tracker or a picture of gym equipment).
There will be a deadline in place for opting for this, so please contact your charity as soon as possible if this is your preference.
