We’re delighted to announce that the ABP Newport Marathon Festival weekend will kick-off on Saturday 18 April with the return of the Women’s Running Conference, hosted by Welsh Athletics.
It will take place at the University of South Wales Newport Campus between 10:00 and 16:00.
Overview
The day will be an inspiring and engaging event to celebrate the growth in women’s running and to explore specific female health topics relating to running.
The event will be hosted by Welsh ultrarunner and S4C Presenter Lowri Morgan, she will be joined by one of Britain’s greatest Paralympians, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Team GB marathon runners Clara Evans and Natasha Wilson, endurance runner Samantha Munkley, who advocates for awareness of endometriosis, and Mel Stephenson-Gray, a Dietician and athlete living with type 1 diabetes.
Throughout the day, attendees will also be able to visit a variety of exhibitors, asking questions on specific issues to help support them with their running.
Visit the Welsh Athletics website for more details.
