With entries for the ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K soaring, we’re excited to announce the return of the Family Mile, giving parents, children and young budding athletes the chance to get involved in the race day action!
The Family Mile will give runners of all ages and abilities an opportunity to enjoy a more light-hearted run along a vibrant riverfront surrounded by thousands of spectators in Newport. The race will take place after the 10K and during the marathon race on Sunday 5th May.
Individual entries are priced at just £5 and include a medal and sweet treat, and even better – groups or families of 4 will be able to sign up for a discounted £15.
There’s no pressure on times, competition and you don’t even have to run the whole way – just simply come along to enjoy the experience as part of one of Wales’ newest sporting weekends. The route is designed to get as many people involved in the day as possible, so if you’re a supporter of a marathon runner or have your sights set on taking part in the 10K and Family Mile, it’s perfect for you.
