JUNIOR RACES

ABP Newport Wales Marathon, Half & 10K | NEWPORT, WALES

Athletic activity for runners of all ages and abilities!

Newport Marathon Junior offers the whole family an exciting opportunity to get involved with the ABP Newport Wales Marathon.

It takes place on the same day, after the main races have got underway.

It’s part of R4W Next Gen; a re-imagined series of family events that aim to inspire a future generation of healthy, active adults.

There are a series of Junior Races on offer; a no-pressure, family-focused Fun Run, a Toddler Dash for those taking their first steps into physical activity and a Future Challengers race for talented young athletes and junior club runners looking for an accessible and competitive race.

So, dig out your best fancy dress, drag along the rest of your family and friends and enjoy the day. Expect a vibrant atmosphere and loads of support from the crowd. Fun Run and Future Challengers race entry includes awesome Junior Newport Marathon finishers medals plus chip timing, meaning you can check out your official time after the race.

We encourage people to run for our charity partner NSPCC. If you choose to run for #TeamNSPCC, you’ll be running to rebuild the lives of children who have been abused in the UK. As a team, you’ll be preventing any more abuse and neglect.

Race day also includes a marathon and 10K race.
