The inaugural ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K will provide a platform for runners to raise thousands for good causes.
Run 4 Wales is now able to reveal the Official Associated Charities for the brand-new festival of running, which will take place on Sunday 29th April next year.
The ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K will bring about a new era of distance running in Wales, with charity very much at the heart. There is a strong ambition for it to become one of the country’s leading fundraising events.
Runners are encouraged to pledge to run for the Lead Charity Partner, the NSPCC, or sign-up to support the below official Associated Charities, who will each offer exclusive packages and discounts for fundraisers.
Rough sleepers charity, the Wallich, Welsh children’s charity Noah’s Ark and Cancer Research Wales make up the line-up of Associated Charities for 2018, with each charity expected to be strongly represented on race day.
Run 4 Wales Chief Executive, Matt Newman said: “Raising money for good causes is at the core of Run 4 Wales’ catalogue of events. Our Associated Charities will give fundraisers the platform they need to help set fundraising records at the first ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K.
“All of our Associated Charities undertake vital work to help vulnerable people/projects across Wales and the UK and I would encourage runners to find out more about these excellent causes.”
